Biography
				I was born in Manchester and my parents moved out to Rochdale, Lancashire when I was about two. We lived there until I was coming up to 10, when we moved to what is now Milton Keynes. I studied in Leeds and have for most of the time since lived and worked in Cambridge, UK. I began playing guitar and piano in my teens and started writing songs soon afterwards. However I had a long spell of failing to complete songs and have only recently got back into writing and performing again. I mainly play in venues in and around Cambridge though I have ventured as far as Oxford and Suffolk! My song writing is I imagine influenced by many of the artists I have listened to over the years, including Christy Moore, John Lennon, Ray Davies, Eric Bogle, Bruce Springsteen and Roy Harper. But I'm equally indebted to friends who are also songwriters and you can find links to some of their web sites in the links section. Most of my songs are about people or events that resonate with me in some way, and in particular the people who suffered from the violent events that dominated the twentieth century. I live with Isabelle and have two children Tom and Ollie, all musicians as well and constant sources of support and inspiration.
